Overview

A Strike Warfare Intelligence Analyst develops targets and performs Target Coordinate Mensuration to generate precision coordinates and other target intelligence for deliberate or dynamic targeting. They produce Joint Desired Point of Impact records and graphics, analyze imagery, maintain approved positioning data and imagery libraries, estimate collateral damage, and develop target deck nominations.

Target development and imagery-based target intelligence production provide relevant experience for DIA's military capabilities analysis specialty.

How to prepare: Practice an unclassified military-capabilities assessment to prepare for DIA's writing test and panel interview. DIA requires U.S. citizenship, security-clearance approval, a background inquiry, and drug screening, with medical examinations and a counterintelligence-scope polygraph when required.
