Robotics warfare specialists plan, perform, and supervise the operational employment of robotic autonomous systems while training personnel in their use. They oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, technical documentation, and test equipment.

RW experience using test equipment and technical documentation for system testing and corrective maintenance transfers to electronics diagnostic and repair work.

How to prepare: Take an electronics bench-testing lab course covering schematic interpretation, component fault isolation, and test-instrument operation.

What the civilian work involves
  • Modify, maintain, or repair electronics equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.
  • Set up and operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
