AN/SPY-6(V) Radar Technician (AEGIS)
A Navy Enlisted Classification: a skill designation sailors hold in addition to their rating.
Description
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the AN/SPY-6(V)1, 3 and 4 RADAR Systems, and AEGIS Baseline (BL) 10 Warhead Data Receiver Cabinet (WDRC) to achieve AN/SPY-6 maintainability key system attributes as defined by the Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) metric. Supports Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) missions for BL 10.0 as it applies to the operation of the AN/SPY-6 RADAR Systems, BMD WDRC for AN/SPY-6 and basic knowledge of RADAR System Controller (RSC) operations under all conditions of readiness, in-port or underway.
