Overview
Journeyman Surface Ship USW Supervisors oversee sonar operators as they start, operate, shut down, and maintain the AN/SQQ-89(V) USW Combat System and associated equipment. They direct onboard training, assess sonar conditions and threats, respond to torpedo threat data, serve as ASW control system operators, and recommend tactical employment of ASW systems.
