Overview
An AN/SQQ-89(V) 11/12 Sonar Subsystem Level I Operator starts, operates, and shuts down sonar processing, TACTAS, SIMAS II, and AN/SQS-53D sonar subsystems. The operator identifies, tracks, and classifies targets, associates acoustic signatures with their sources, and responds to abnormal panel or screen indications and alerts.
