Description
Naval Aircrewmen (Avionics) (AWV) perform primary in-flight and ground duties as members of a fixed wing integrated tactical aircrew aboard special reconnaissance, command and control, and logistics aircraft: pilot and maintain Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV); operate aerial photographic equipment; transport critical cargo and passengers; maintain and operate strategic and tactical communications; handle, store and retrieve incoming and outgoing messages; build, configure, deploy, operate, maintain, and repair Information Technology (IT) such as fiber optics, networks and capabilities; perform network system administration, maintenance, and training; perform maintenance and aircrew administration; conduct flight and ground training; perform Joint Special Warfare Operations (JSWO) and Communications Material Security (CMS) handling; and demonstrate understanding of mission and flight avionics systems, safety equipment, emergency procedures and aircraft equipment.
