AW Aviation Warfare Systems Operator

NAVADMIN 153/08 renamed the general rating Aviation Warfare Systems Operator to Naval Aircrewman, retaining the AW code. The conversion took effect in two stages according to component and pay grade. NAVADMIN 153/08 established five service-rating branches within the AW general rating for advancement: AWR, AWS, AWO, AWF, and AWV.
