Overview
The Sonar Technician Surface Class "A" School instructs personnel in the knowledge and skills required for tactical employment of the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 SONAR Suite. Students receive training in oceanography, acoustic analysis using current intelligence data, SONAR fundamentals, level one maintenance responsibilities, antisubmarine warfare administration, and basic SONAR watchstanding.
